Fall Scholarly Meeting
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Date/Time: Virtual poster session November 14-16
Location: Zoom
Purpose: To promote nursing leadership, scholarship, research and collaboration among members of the Rho Nu-at-Large chapter.
You do not have to be a member of Rho Nu-at-Large to attend and present at the fall scholarly meeting, however there is a small registration fee. Please consider joining us and presenting your work!
Abstracts for poster presentations of completed research, research in progress, clinical projects, and field studies by Rho Nu-at-Large members are invited for consideration for presentation at the chapter fall scholarly meeting. These may include: basic or applied studies, case reports, qualitative inquiries, quality improvement projects or other scholarly research or educational activities. Please limit your abstract to 150 – 200 words. Use 12 point font, Times New Roman. Include the title of your poster presentation (not included in word count). Preferred format is tabletop presentation, but we hope to have room for a limited number of wall posters.
Selection Criteria:
- Significance of the topic to nursing leadership, education, and/or research
- Adequacy of conceptual base/literature review
- Adequacy of design/methods
- Thoroughness of discussion
- Organization and clarity of content/including purpose, description of project/research and implications for nursing
Submission Timeline and Process:
Abstracts are due by Saturday, October 24, 2020. Submissions will be confirmed within 48 hours. You will be notified regarding the status of your submission by Monday, October 26, 2020.
Please submit an email cover letter and attach a copy of your abstract as a Word document or PDF to Dr. Jackie Owens at jowens2@ashland.edu. The email subject line should read: Poster Abstract Submission_Rho Nu-at-Large.
The email cover letter should include: the title of the poster presentation; the author name(s); credentials; affiliation(s); and email and phone contact information for the first author. Attach your document with the abstract body only with no identification. Please name this document with the title of your presentation.
Once accepted, you will record your poster (instructions to follow). The chapter is planning to have the posters available for review over about 72 hours. We will offer CEs if we can.
